Mid
Rent
It is exactly as it sounds –
somewhere between market rents and
those set for social housing (for
example Council or housing association
housing). Ideal for those with jobs
who can’t afford Edinburgh’s
market rental prices.
You may have a job in public services
(we call this key worker status)
or are on a waiting list for a housing
association or council home with
little chance of moving to the top
of the list. You may want to move
back into an area you have a connection
with – for example, either
you were born there or you have
family in the area.
If you fit any of these categories and have a minimum income of £1000.00pcm after deductions but earn less than £22,000 for a single person and £32,541 for a larger household, then you qualify to be considered for mid rent. |
